TVA To Survey Sport Fish At Harrison Bay On Tuesday

Thursday, March 14, 2013

TVA Fisheries biologists will survey sport fish on Tuesday at the Chickamauga Reservoir at Harrison Bay, Wolftever boat ramp at State Highway 58.

TVA annually monitors fish in various reservoirs across the Tennessee Valley region and invites local anglers and the public to participate. The fish are collected using boat-mounted, electro-fishing equipment. The units harmlessly stun the fish for a brief time and bring them to the surface, where they are examined and evaluated by TVA biologists. Once weighed, measured and counted, the fish are released.

The event will be held rain or shine.
