The Chief John Ross Chapter of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) held their regular monthly meeting at The Tea Cottage on Wednesday.
GPS Junior American Citizens presented "Outstanding Women in American History."
This month is the centennial anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Tennessee was the pivotal state voting to give the right to vote to women.
Chapter officers include: Marie Hines Harbour, regent; Teresa Webb Rimer, first vice-regent; and Linda Moss Mines, second vice-regent.
