Southern Hosts Performance By Acclaimed Pianist

Southern Adventist University will host a musical performance by renowned pianist Yael Weiss on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m in Ackerman Auditorium. The event is $5 adults, $12 family. For tickets and more information, call 236-2814. 

Hailed by The New York Times as "remarkably powerful and intense," Yael Weiss has received recognition as one of today's most compelling artists. Her richly varied schedule includes orchestral and recital engagements worldwide and tours with her trio, Sequenza. Upcoming engagements include concerts at the Kennedy Center, Wigmore Hall, and two solo recordings for Koch Classics. Yael Weiss joined the artist piano faculty of Indiana University in 2005. Her teachers have included Leon Fleisher and Richard Goode.

City Council Ad Hoc Committee To Study Moving Elections To August, Adding More Districts, Staggering Terms
