A man was shot Saturday night on Roanoke Avenue.
Chattanooga Police responded at 11:26 p.m. to a shooting at 800 Roanoke Ave. Responding officers found 20-year-old Charquel Applings suffering from a gunshot wound.
Applings was transported to a local hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening injury. It was reported to detectives that he was walking in the 800 block of Roanoke Avenue when the suspect(s) shot him and fled the scene in a car.
Detectives believe he was targeted by the suspect(s) and that it was not a random shooting.
