Blessing Of Palms Begins St. Paul's Episcopal Holy Week

Holy Week services at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 305 West Seventh St., begin on Sunday, with the Blessing of the Palms and the Passion Sunday Eucharist at 8 and 10:15 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Monday through Thursday, Holy Eucharist is at 12:05 p.m. Maundy Thursday will be March 28 at 12:05 p.m. and Institution of the Holy Eucharist and Stripping of the Altar.

On Friday, March 29, Stations of the Cross with incense at 11 a.m., with Good Friday liturgy at noon.

On Saturday  March 30, gather at 9:30 a.m. to decorate the Nave with liturgy of Holy Saturday  at 11 a.m. The Great Vigil with Holy Baptism, choirs, instruments and organ with incense will begin at 7:30 p.m. A Resurrection Champagne Celebration will follow the Vigil. 

On Sunday, March 31, Festival Eucharist with choirs, brass, tympani and organ and flowering of the cross will be at 8 and 10:30 a.m., with incest at 10:30 a.m. and a live broadcast on 95.3 FM WPLZ.


Churchwide Missions Lunch Is Sunday At Signal Mountain Baptist

A churchwide mission lunch will be at noon this Sunday, at Signal Mountain Baptist Church, 939 Ridgeway Ave. All donations for the meal will go toward youth mission trips this summer. City Council Ad Hoc Committee To Study Moving Elections To August, Adding More Districts, Staggering Terms
