Baylor Wins Soccer Tournament Finale

The Baylor boys soccer team defeated University School of Jackson 3-1 on Sunday in the last game of the Baylor Tournament.

The game was back and forth in the first half with no goals.

In the second half, Ramsey Seagle scored in the 41st minute off an assist from Will Hitchcock to go up 1-0. In the 56th minute Michael Mysiewicz (USJ) scored off a penalty to knot the game 1-1.

In the 66th minute, Kyle Johnston scored off a double assist from Ransey Seagle and Sam Stewart to put Baylor up 2-1.


In the 76th minute, Ramsey Seagle scored off a penalty kick to give the Red Raiders a 3-1 lead. Will Hitchcock was taken down in the box off a wall pass with Ramsey Seagle.

"Overall I was pleased with the weekend,"  Baylor soccer coach Curtis Blair said. "We got some quality games that showed us some areas that we need to improve on as we get ready for our first region match against JPII."

"I want to thank all the teams that came to the first Baylor Men's Soccer tournament. Their were some quality games and had great weather for the weekend."
