Three men have been charged with a Hixson burglary after the resident interrupted the theft of a washing machine and dryer.
Charged were Danny Ray Folston, 28, who lives in the next apartment to the break-in; Timothy Nunley, 32, who lives in the same apartment complex, and Michael Ollison, 28, who lives nearby.
In the incident last Wednesday, the resident and a male friend arrived home and saw that the front window had been pushed in. They went to the rear and saw Folston carrying the washer and dryer into his apartment.
Police said Folston stated, "Call them (police). Yeah, I took your ----. I'll ---- you up and beat your ---, b----."
Folston and a female then left in a car, police said.
Police said the property manager noted a leak coming from the Folston apartment.
Burglary detective Michael Early went inside and found Ollison in the bathroom and Nunley hiding in a closet. Ollison said he helped Folston carry the stolen washer and dryer after pushing in the window to gain access. Nunley said he helped carry both appliances, "but did not know he was commiting a burglary."
