Tennessee Department Of Environment And Conservation Fall Creek Falls State Park Survey Deadline Is Sunday

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation announced a new survey asking for community input regarding the renovations at Fall Creek Falls State Park. The deadline for the survey is Sunday. The survey is specifically designed for campers, inn or cabin guests and officials are asking for assistance in helping TDEC get the word out about this particular survey.

Fall Creek Falls State Park is undergoing significant renovations of its inn, cabins and Village Green area.  The Village Green includes the outdoor pool areas, shops, park office and picnic shelters.  Tennessee State Parks is interested in finding out what campers and inn/cabin users think about Fall Creek Falls' current condition, in addition to their thoughts on amenities, recreation activities and the various services they seek when selecting a park to visit.  There are three separate surveys -- one for campers, one for inn users and one for those that rent cabins.

The surveys can be accessed by visiting:

·         www.surveymonkey.com/s/FCFCabinSurvey -- Cabin Customers

·         www.surveymonkey.com/s/FCFCampgroundSurvey -- Campers

·         www.surveymonkey.com/s/FCFInnSurvey -- Inn Customers

All three surveys can also be accessed on Fall Creek Falls' main website at www.tnstateparks.com/FallCreekFalls

The surveys contain up to 23 questions, taking approximately 15 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous and will be used to potentially make changes at Fall Creek Falls and other state parks -- helping deliver a better product and elevating the level of customer service.

It is requested that only customers that fit the definition of campers, inn or cabin users complete the surveys. Please direct any questions regarding the survey to Jeni Lind Brinkman at 931 432-7614 or JeniLind.Brinkman@tn.gov. Media questions can be directed to my attention.

Roy Exum: Hypocrisy And Horses

I am still wincing over the fact a horrendous bill passed in the state legislature that would make whistle-blowers into criminals would have actually gone into law had it not been for Governor Bill Haslam’s eleventh-hour veto. Called the “Ag-Gag bill,” similar efforts in other states have also soured because it is no more than a Catch-22 trick to protect those who abuse animals, ... (click for more)
