Chattanooga State Engineering Technology Division Hosts Professional Development Workshop

The Engineering Technology Division of Chattanooga State Community College in partnership with the Regional Center for Nuclear Education and Training (RCNET) will host a professional development workshop featuring guest speaker Roger Moerman. The workshop is scheduled for March 21 from 9 – 12:30 p.m. with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m., on the main campus of Chattanooga State in the Health Science Center.


Mr. Moerman has more than 30 years of technical and Quality Assurance (QA) experience in a variety of areas. He is considered to be an industry expert in the application of Suspect/Counterfeit items (SC/I) and Counterfeit, Fraudulent, Substandard Items (CFSI) programs and processes.


In addition, Mr. Moerman is a nationally recognized instructor of counterfeit and fraud detection, and has trained in excess of 30,000 personnel during the past two decades. His customers include the Department of Energy, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), NASA, Exelon Nuclear Corporation, Detroit Energy (Fermi), Energy Northwest, Southern Nuclear Co. (Corporate, Vogtle, Farley & Hatch), Shaw Group (VC Summer & Vogtle), and Electrical Power Research Institute.
