Two Chattanooga tennis teaching pros - Sue Bartlett and Wes Cash - posted wins earlier today to help their respective countries to victory at the 2013 Senior World Team Tennis Championships in Anatalya, Turkey.
Women’s 55s: Bartlett won her singles match, 6-0, 6-0 against Pat Dwyer to help Great Britain to a 3-0 win against Ireland.
Great Britain is 2-0 in Pool B and faces unbeaten Switzerland (2-0) Wednesday for first place.
Bartlett will celebrate her 55th birthday on Wednesday.
Men’s 55s: Cash teamed with Mark Vines to win their doubles match, 6-1, 6-2 as the USA defeated Poland, 3-0 in a Pool A match.
The USA (1-0) squad faces New Zealand (0-1) Wednesday.
The ITF Seniors World Championships take place in Antalya this week, with a total of 190 teams from 31 countries competing for trophies in ten age categories.
