Mr. Satterfield is the man for the job. I pledged my support to him the day he announced his candidacy on this website and expressed a desire to elect him "without the help of big money and for his bank account to still be in tact after the fact."
He has done that. Based on his knowledge, past experience in city government, and campaign commitments, I have no doubt that he would exercise the same level of dedication to prudence and fiscal responsibilitiy in managing the affairs of this city, and would treat all those with whom he comes in contact with the utmost professional respect in furthering the interests of the taxpayers and the policies and programs of the city.
So, Mr. Satterfield, you have a yen for crappie. That should be beneficial to the taxpayers. You will be able to detect anything fishy and resolve it immediately before it hits the papers and blindsides the taxpayers. Now wouldn't that be a change for the better.
I look forward to casting my vote for Mr. Satterfield on Tuesday. Please join me. He is a winner at a time when we all need something positive to help us through difficult political and financial uncertainty.
