Bartlett, Cash Continue Winning Ways

Bartlett Celebrates 55th Birthday

Chattanoogans Sue Bartlett and Wes Cash posted wins to help their respective countries to victory earlier today at the 2013 Senior World Team Tennis Championships in Anatalya, Turkey.

Women’s 55s: Bartlett celebrated her 55th birthday with a 6-1, 6-2 singles win against Patrizia Operto to help Great Britain to a 2-1 win against previously unbeaten Switzerland (2-1)

Great Britain (3-0) wins Pool B and advances to the Women's 55s semifinals on Friday.

Barltett is 3-0 in singles and has lost only three games in six sets.

 

Men’s 55s: Cash teamed with Peter Markes to win their doubles match, 6-0, 6-1 as the USA defeated  New Zealand, 3-0, in a Pool A match.

The USA (2-0) wins its pool and advances to the quarterfinals.

The ITF Seniors World Championships take place in Antalya this week, with a total of 190 teams from 31 countries competing for trophies in ten age categories.
