Early Voting for the City Council District 4 runoff election started Wednesday at the Election Commission.
Larry Grohn is trying to unseat incumbent Jack Benson.
Early voting will continue through April 4. The hours will be from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The office will be open this Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon. The office will be closed on the 29thth and 30th for Good Friday and Easter.
The run-off election will be on April 9. The polls will be open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Charlotte Mullis-Morgan, election administrator, said if District 9 Councilman Peter Murphy goes to court and gains a runoff, that election would likely be in May.
The new City Council is due to be sworn in along with new Mayor Andy Berke on April 15.
Former City Councilman Yusuf Hakeem has been certified as the winner of the District 9 race. He had six votes more than Councilman Murphy. There were seven write-in votes.
