See Rock City, Inc. selected Cornelia “Neelie” Bradford as the fourth annual recipient of the Martha Bell Miller Scholarship. Neelie has been a partner (employee) at Rock City on the retail seasonal stands team as a face painter for five years.

Neelie is a senior at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, majoring in exceptional learning (special education).

After she graduates, Neelie plans to specialize in teaching young children with autism. In addition to her studies, she volunteers at her church and in the special education departments at local elementary schools. In her free time, she enjoys painting and hiking.

In 2009, the scholarship committee at Rock City made the decision to name the award after Martha Bell Miller, a lifelong educator and promoter of character and integrity, who dedicated her professional life to education. She worked as Mother Goose from 1983 – 2005, but her love of Rock City began on opening day in 1932 when she was one of its first visitors.

“We are committed to developing our number one resource, our people,” said Andrew Kean, president of Rock City. See Rock City, Inc. is a hospitality and entertainment company that features the world renowned Rock City Gardens high atop Lookout Mountain, just six miles from downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. Rock City strives to impress upon its partners the importance of learning, education and individual development.
