LearningRx Chattanooga Brain Training Center offers the following schedule of upcoming events:

April 13 – Free Dyslexia Screening, 1-4 p.m. at LearningRx of Chattanooga 
LearningRx will offer free testing to determine the presence of cognitive weaknesses that may be inhibiting one’s reading performance· 

April 26 – Autism Conference, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center
LearningRx will be exhibiting at the 4th annual Community Conference on Autism. 

June 1 – Avoid Summer Slide Open House, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at LearningRx of Chattanooga
LearningRx is hosting an Open House and invites families to tour the Center, receive free brain training demonstrations, and learn more about how cognitive skills affect learning.

July 19-20 – CSTHEA Homeschool Curriculum Fair at Camp Jordan Arena
LearningRx will be exhibiting at the 31st Annual Education Expo & Homeschool Curriculum Fair. 

July 29-Aug 2 – Kid Book Kamp, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at LearningRx of Chattanooga
LearningRx will be hosting Kid Book Kamp, where attendees will have the opportunity to write, illustrate and publish their own book during this 5-day camp. 

Sept. 14 – Free Attention Screening, 1-4 p.m. at LearningRx of Chattanooga
LearningRx will offer free testing to determine the presence of cognitive weaknesses that may be in inhibiting one’s ability to focus and pay attention.

Oct. 19 – Free Dyslexia Screening at Center, 1-4 p.m. at LearningRx of Chattanooga
LearningRx will offer free testing to determine the presence of cognitive weaknesses that may be inhibiting one’s reading performance.

Nov. 23 – Smart Mom’s Toybox Open House
LearningRx invites the public to tour the Center, receive free brain training demonstrations and learn about great gift ideas that double as brain-boosting games.


Scripps Joins BlueCross As Director Of Quality Care Partnership

Parkridge Health System Raises Over $4,700 For Tour de Cure

Parkridge Health System cyclists raised over $4,700 in support of the fight against diabetes for the 2013 Tour de Cure cycling event held at First Tennessee Pavilion.  Team Parkridge fielded riders at nearly every distance level of the event, including the 100 mile, 62 mile, and 25 mile routes. Woman Killed In Early-Morning Wreck On Thrasher Pike

A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Thrasher Pike early Saturday morning. Soddy Daisy Police Chief Phillip Hamrick said a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to Erlanger Hospital by LifeForce helicopter about 3:15 a.m. The driver was transported by Hamilton County EMS. It is believed he had non-life threatening injuries. ... City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge. The City Council on Tuesday is to consider a resolution to apply for a $25 million federal TIGER grant. The city would still have to come up with $21,825,000 through "local funds or grants."
