A Red Bank man suffered multiple wounds in a stabbing Wednesday night.

Officers responded to an apartment at 1111 Dayton Blvd. at approximately 9:07 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Justin D. Tocknell suffering from multiple stab wounds to the abdomen. 

Witnesses stated that a white male fled from the scene on foot toward the Cherokee Motel southeast of that location. Officers searched the area and located the suspect at the rear of the motel where he was taken into custody without incident. A further search of the area revealed the weapon believed to have been used in the incident. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS. 

Reynard Isaac Cable, 42, of 2627 Hixson Pike, Apt. 109, Red Bank,  was charged with attempted murder and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is held on $252,000 bond.
