The Salvation Army of Greater Chattanooga invites the community to join them in the following events to honor Holy Week:
A Seder Meal on Monday, March 25, at 6:30 p.m. at The Salvation Army’s 614 Corps on McCallie Avenue. The Seder Meal tells the story of God and His people and is a tradition among the Jewish people and Christians as a way to reflect upon the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. An Easter Vacation Bible School-“A Journey with Jesus” will take place
Monday – Friday, March 25 – 29, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. for ages 6 – 12 years of age at The East Lake Salvation Army located at 2140 East 28
th Street. A graduation service will take place on Easter Sunday, at 10 a.m. This is ideal for children who will be on Spring Break Vacation from school. A free lunch will be provided. For more information, please call

On Good Friday, March 29, The Salvation Army will partner with The Dynamic Church who is hosting a community wide Easter Festival called “Hunt to Can Hunger” located at the Hamilton Place YMCA. Their goal is to rasie 1,200 pounds of non-perishable food for The Salvation Army’s Social Service Food Pantry. There will be an Easter Bunny, Chick-fi-la Cow, and 12,000 Easter Egg hunt along with food, games and fun for all ages. The Festival will be 4–8 p.m..
Also on Friday, March 29, at 7 p.m., The Salvation Army on McCallie Avenue will host a “Tenebrae” service, meaning “darkness or shadows” in Latin. This is an ancient Good Friday service that reflects on the events surrounding the last week of Jesus’ life and His death. Special music will be performed by “Ten Bartram” featuring Rebekah Angel Rapp and Eleanor Angel.
Other Good Friday Services will take place on Friday, March 29, at The Salvation Armys at 1019 North Moore Road and 2140 East 28
th Street at 6 p.m. for both locations. All are welcome to these worship services.

Cleveland Salvation Army will host its
first Easter Sunrise Service at the
Fort Hills Cemetery of Cleveland and will begin at 7:30 AM. Sergeant Ruthie Forgey will be leading the service. All are welcome to attend.
The Salvation Army will celebrate Easter with its
traditional Easter Sunrise Service at the National Cemetery at 1200 Bailey Avenue beside the flag pole overlooking beautiful downtown Chattanooga! For the last 36 years, The Salvation Army has partnered with the National Cemetery for the Easter Sunrise Service. All are invited to worship at 7:30 a.m. as the sun rises over Chattanooga.
Music will be provided by the internationally acclaimed Jericho Brass band. Our guest speaker, Salvation Army Area Commander Major Algerome Newsome, will deliver the message.
Come celebrate Easter with The Salvation Army at the Sunrise Service. The Salvation Army is expecting an attendance of more than 300.
