Professional Educators Of Tennessee Conduct Survey On Hidden Costs Of Teaching

Thursday, March 21, 2013

Professional Educators of Tennessee is conducting a two question survey to measure the hidden costs of teaching.

There is an educational expense that is not often tallied when discussing education policy: teachers who spend their own money to support classroom activities. Many teachers routinely spend money out of their own pockets on necessity items for their students, according to research.

By conducting the survey, Professional Educators of Tennessee can assist and help educate legislators in understanding how many teachers voluntarily use their own money to support their classroom work, and how much is typically expended.

The survey for educators is located here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PETspendingsurvey.
