A man who authorities say furnished prescription pills to his son who overdosed and died was given a maximum 57-month federal prison sentence on Thursday.
Michael Dale appeared before Federal Judge Curtis Collier.
The sentencing range was 46-57 months.
Authorities said Dale was part of a ring that dealt in the sale of large amounts of prescription pills.
Prosecutor Jay Woods said his son, Michael Dale, Jr., died of an overdose of Opana.
Another son said he would go with his father to the homes of other people. He said he would wait while his father delivered pills and left with cash.
Dale's attorney said he suffers from mental disorders.
