A Chattanooga man has been given a 78-month term in federal prison on a charge of being a felon in possession of a gun.
Michael Cal appeared before Judge Curtis Collier.
Cal was arrested on April 6, 2012, when officers went to investigate a fight with gunshots on a lounge parking lot. He was seen tossing a shotgun into some bushes.
Authorities found two shotgun shells in his pocket.
He has a 2001 conviction for aggravated burglary and reckless endangerment and 2004 conviction for possession of cocaine for resale.
