Chattanoogans Sue Bartlett and Wes Cash lost team finals today and took home silver medals in the Senior World Team Tennis Championships in Anatalya, Turkey.
Competing in the Women's 55s, the USA team defeated Great Britain, 2-0.
Susan Wright defeated Bartlett at No.2 singles, 6-1, 7-6 (12). Bartlett was 4-0 in singles this week prior to her finals match.
Bartlett won a world team gold with Great Britain in 2009.
USA Men's 55s: Great Britain defeated the USA Men's 55s team, 2-1, for the gold medal.
The British team of Paul French and Steve Alger defeated Cash and Sal Castillo, 6-3, 6-2, in the deciding doubles match.
Cash, who was 3-1 in doubles this week, will compete in the world singles and doubles competition next week.
Earlier in the day, Cash and Mark Vines won a semifinals doubles match to give the USA squad a 2-1 triumph against Germany. That match started Friday, but was stopped after singles due to rain with the teams tied at 1-1.
