Career Coach Returns To Downtown Library April 3

The Career Coach, a mobile Career Center sponsored by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, will stop at the Chattanooga Public Library, 1001 Broad Street, on Wednesday, April 3, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.  

Job seekers can search for work and apply for available openings online.  Workshops in résumé preparation, job search, and interviewing skills will also be available free of charge.

Job seekers must bring two forms of identification to get on the Coach. The Coach’s trained staff will review resumes upon request and make suggestions if necessary.

Career Coaches are set up as computer lab classrooms, each having 10 workstations that are equipped with a laptop and high-speed Internet connection. The coaches are equipped with a wheelchair lift, and the workstations are ADA compliant.

Area Special Olympics athletes will be competing in a basketball tournament on Friday, Feb. 23, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the UTC Roundhouse. Let's Not Make Chattanooga Dirty Again Rally Was Friday

The Clean Tennessee Campaign hosted a rally on Friday on the Walnut Street Bridge. The “Let’s Not Make Chattanooga Dirty” again rally called on the community and senators for clean air for the city. 1 Person Killed In Accident Involving 18-Wheeler On Ochs Highway

One person was killed Saturday morning on Ochs Highway. Another person in the same vehicle was taken to the hospital. An 18-wheeler was coming down the mountain, and hit three cars traveling up the mountain. Ochs Highway was closed in both directions, and HAZMAT crews were at the scene.
