Gang Member Arrested After Forces His Way Into House

Police said a known gang member who was armed with a handgun forced his way into a residence while trying to elude officers.

Robert Marshall "B-Bop" Allen, 19, of 3204 E. 44th St., was charged with resisting stop and frisk, aggravated burglary, criminal trespass and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police said an officer on routine patrol in a known drug area observed several known gang members at 1101 Sheridan Ave. As police exited their vehicle, Allen ran from police into an occupied residence.

Police said Allen forced his way into the residence. The female resident quickly exited and said she did not know the intruder.

Allen was found in the back room of the residence with a loaded Smith and Wesson handgun with one round in the chamber.

Police said Allen is a member of the Gangster Disciples.
