Littlefield has no shame and Chattanooga deserves the nickname of "Little Chicago."
During the recall people said it was bad publicity for Chattanooga. What about all the cronyism appointments Littlefield is trying to force down the throats of the taxpayers before he leaves office? All these people are being given jobs and benefits the taxpayers will be paying for many years to come. Are they really even qualified for the jobs they are being slotted into? Time for a complete audit of all city departments.
What will the next mayor of Chattanooga do about this disgraceful display of cronyism at its worst?

It is no surprise that Littlefield is trying to stick it to the citizens of Chattanooga on his way out the door. His administration has been notorious in its failures and misappropriation of confiscatory taxes. What are his greatest accomplishments to date? Unnecessary conflict with our first responders and wasteful spending on a homeless shelter we cannot afford as well as an animal center that duplicates the services of and competes with the Humane Educational society.
Until recently, it appeared that his most lasting legacies would be pothole-ridden streets that cause untold dollars in damage to our cars and shameful wasted money on public "art." In short, Littlefiled has been the Barack Obama of Chattanooga, spending money that does not improve our city and withholding money that could.
Now, with his attempts to saddle us with his cronies for years to come, he has eclipsed all of that. Hopefully the next mayor will have the backbone to undo as much of Littlefield's damage as possible, including removing those who skulk into office just as this mayoral term ends.
It will be a great day when the blight of Littlefield lifts from our city. Hopefully we have seen how damaging his kind of thinking is and the voters will look beyond another Democrat as they choose the next mayor.
