Father, 2 Daughters From Sand Mountain Killed In Car Accident Friday

A father and his two daughters from Sand Mountain were killed in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 24 near the Kentucky-Tennessee border on Friday.

The victims were identified as 38-year-old Michael Mahan and his daughters, 11-year-old Meagan Mahan and 16-year-old Savannah Mahan, of Flat Rock, Ala.

Mr. Mahan was driving a Toyota Camry west on I-24 when his vehicle crossed the median and hit a U-Haul driven by Richard Dooley, of Arlington, Va., and a vehicle driven by his wife, Lisa Larimer, in the eastbound lanes.

Ms. Larimer and her daughters, 7-year-old Ariel Dooley and 6-year-old Sierra Dooley, were injured. The girls were listed in critical condition.
