Mayor Littlefield To Deliver Final State Of The City Address On March 11

Outgoing Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield will deliver his final State of the City address at 6 p.m. next Monday.  

“I plan to reflect on the past eight years," said Mayor Littlefield. “Serving as mayor is a humbling experience and I want to thank the community for their support through the years.  We have accomplished a lot of things; some not popular but necessary in the continued good governance of any municipality.”

The address will be at the Community Theatre, Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium, 399 McCallie Ave.

Light refreshments will be offered, and the public is invited.


Harrison Man Charged With Throwing Girlfriend In Ditch; Putting Knife To Her Throat

Authorities said a Harrison man threw his girlfriend into a ditch and put a knife to her throat before she was able to get away. Terry Davis Jr., 28, of 9010 Harrison Bay Road, is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping. Police Chase Ends In Crash At Dodson And Wilcox

A police chase ended Monday afternoon with the car that was being pursued crashing in East Chattanooga. The vehicle ended up straddling a ditch at Dodson Avenue and Wilcox Boulevard. The driver was being sought on warrants.  (click for more)
