Wash Me Pink Color Run For Susan G. Komen Is March 9

The nation's first Wash Me Pink Color Run benefiting Susan G. Komen will be held on Saturday. Every runner/walker gets "Washed in Pink." This race is for everyone, slow or fast, young and old, run it or walk it, all are encouraged to participate.

The 5K Color Run course begins at 9 a.m. at 1104 Redwine Cove, Dalton.  Check in for participants is from 7-8:45 a.m.  Color Washers will douse participants with Komen Color at the Color Stations placed throughout the course.   

Parking passes are required for each car.  Passes are $5 if pre-purchased during registration and $10 at the venue.  Register at www.washmepink.com. 

The coloring used is non-toxic, non-allergic, medical grade, colored corn-starch.  Manufactured in the USA, these clouds of starch will change your color, but not your health. 

Proceeds from the Wash Me Pink Color Run will support breast cancer research, screening, education and treatment support services for various breast health programs in the 16 Southern Tennessee and North Georgia counties that provide top quality services to at-risk women.  

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest breast cancer organization, and the Chattanooga Affiliate is one of 125 affiliates dedicated to ending breast cancer in their communities. For 13 years Komen Chattanooga has been dedicated to finding the cures for breast cancer and funding local programs in the Chattanooga/North Georgia area.
