Middle Valley Church of God, at 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson, has adopted the theme, "In Christ Alone," for the month of March, 2013.
Pastor Mitch McClure said, "I shall be preaching specially developed sermons each week in March. March 2013 provides us the opportunity to lift up the reality that our salvation is through Christ alone. As I preach this Sunday, my purpose will be to engage those attending to understand that God has not waited until now to provide a means of redemption. From before the foundation of the world, God had a plan."
Pastor McClure will speak on the topic, "He Had A Plan All The Time," in the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday.
Pastor McClure will lead the church in a time of Scripture reading and worship in the 6:30 p.m. service on Sunday. The church is participating in the READ Initiative of the Church of God. READ encourages all to read the Bible on a daily basis with the goal of reading the Bible through in 2013.
Each Wednesday at 7 p.m. classes are made available for all age groupings. Pastor McClure is presently leading a Bible study on Grace. This study is partially based on a book by Dr. David Jeremiah and is titled, Captured by Grace.
Sunday School is available each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all age groupings.
Middle Valley Church of God has established a 24-hour prayer line. The 24-hour telephone number is 423.843.1569 and is available for confidential prayer requests. Each request received will be included in prayer ministry of the church.
