The new Intercollegiate Athletic Department at Dalton State has launched its website in conjunction with SideArm Sports.  The domain name for the site is www.dsroadrunners.com.

“Although it is obviously not in its final form, it was imperative, for recruiting, that we get our website up and running,” said Athletic Director Derek Waugh. “Richard Skeel, Bob Beavers, and Jill Campbell have done a tremendous job in a very short amount of time getting us up and running. Jill is a student and Bob is a volunteer, and their work ethic has blown me away.”

“We want to do everything at a Division I level, and this website will eventually be of that quality,” said Senior Associate Athletic Director Richard Skeel.  “The athletic web site is a window to our department and the college. It is streamlined and current, allowing even the casual visitor to be updated on all the events related to Dalton State athletics.”

“As our schedules and rosters are filled we will have an avenue for fans to get to know our program intimately,” he continued. “Coming are game results, live statistics and videos, and an online store. We have included several user-friendly tabs for prospective students and student-athletes in their matriculation process. We will continue to grow and develop the site, providing an interesting online journalism experience.”

To date, the new teams in the athletic department, which will start competition this fall, have signed over 35 student-athletes, including many local, domestic, and international student-athletes. Men’s and women’s cross country and volleyball will start their seasons in the fall, with men’s basketball, competitive cheer, men’s and women’s golf, and men’s and women’s tennis following shortly thereafter.

Scandals At Home And Abroad

Since my hip operation and time in recovery, I have tried to set aside things that are insignificant to me and to average Americans. Don't get me wrong here. What these people are doing (Bengahzi) is despicable be they left or right wing, and they have been doing it (both sides) for a long time. But the dirty deeds themselves carry little weight as to what they mean to you or me. ... (click for more)
