Craniofacial Foundation Celebrates Their 6th Year Of Event

Thursday, March 07, 2013

The Craniofacial Foundation of America will host their 6th Annual Palate to Palette event on Saturday, April  27.  Palate 2 Palette is one of Chattanooga’s most unique fundraisers featuring a samplingi of the city’s visual, floral and culinary talent in an evening dedicated to celebrating the arts in the historic Southside District.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. with the Gallery Stroll.  Guests will stroll among Southside galleries or ride the double decker bus to view the featured fine art, culinary art and floral designs while meeting with artists and enjoying wine and cuisine.  In addition, the Youth Gallery, sponsored by the Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union, will display artwork from area high school students.  A special Youth Gallery reception will be held on Friday, April 26, as an opportunity to preview the juried exhibit prior to the Gallery Stroll.

Each year, the Living Art Gallery is one of the most highly anticipated venues at Palate 2 Palette, officials said.  This year’s gallery located in Warehouse Row, will feature internationally recognized fine art body painter, Craig Tracy.  Mr. Tracy will create a unique living masterpiece just for Palate to Palette guests.

New for 2013, the all-new Garden Gallery at DeBarge Winery will feature a Living Fountain, performances from the Living Vine, as well as the new Foundation Gallery at Cobblestone Rue featuring artwork collaborations between local artist and CFA patients.

Following the gallery stroll, guests are invited to the Bubbles and Sweets after party at Track-29.  Desserts and dancing will be accompanied by selections from Willie Kitchens and his band.

Terry Smyth, executive director of the CFA said, “This event is one we look forward to every year as a fun and unique way to honor the arts in Chattanooga as well as bring light to our foundation.  Thanks to the community, this event is always huge success and we look forward to another wonderful evening as we celebrate the foundation’s services.”

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Craniofacial Foundation of America.  The CFA is a non profit organization that supports the work of the Tennessee Craniofacial Center at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger and Erlanger Health System.  The TCC specializes in the evaluation and treatment of patients of all ages with craniofacial deformities with services covering a broad range of operations and treatment from birth defects, tumors and trauma.

Patron tickets to the event are $75 per person and $150 for VIP. For tickets or information, visit www.p2pchattanooga.com and get event updates by following Palate to Palette on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
