Parkridge Health System Announces New Medical Staff Leadership For 2013–2014

Parkridge Health System medical staff elected 12 physicians to leadership roles for 2013 – 2014. These physicians received a majority of valid votes cast by members of the Active Medical staff and received the approval of the hospital system’s Board of Governors.

Pathologist Gary R. Lanham, MD was elected chief of staff for Parkridge Health System. Dr. Lanham earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis and performed his residency and fellowship at Baptist Memorial Hospital and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. Dr. Lanham is board-certified by the American Board of Pathology and has been a member of the medical staff since 1989.

General surgeon W. Todd Cockerham, MD  was elected vice chief for Parkridge Medical Center. Dr. Cockerham earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas and completed his residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine – Chattanooga Unit.  Dr. Cockerham is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and has been a member of the medical staff since 2004.                   

Orthopaedic surgeon John A Gracy, MD was elected vice chief for Parkridge East Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia. He completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at St John’s Hospital.  Dr. Gracy is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has been a member of the medical staff since 1996.

Psychiatrist Oliver Gregory, MD, was elected vice chief for Parkridge Valley Hospital. Dr. Gregory earned his medical degree from UT-Memphis, and performed his internship, residency, and fellowship with the University of Tennessee. Dr. Gregory is double board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has been a member of the medical staff since 2001.

Grand Opening Held For New Meigs North Elementary Walking Track
