Jason Roy Green is facing charges after his girlfriend said he fired at her with two different weapons and tried to strangle her.

Green, 35, of 821 Chestnut Wood Lane, is charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault.

Shirley L. Jones said she had fled from his residence last Wednesday and called police. She said he had been abusive to her since the previous Saturday.

She said the situation escalated over the span of four days until he fired a shotgun and then a handgun at her. She said he came up behind her and tried to strangle her after the two incidents with the guns.

Officers found evidence that a gun had been fired. They also spotted a marijuana grow lab at the residence.
