Brown, Thomas Eugene "Hoss" (Jasper)

Thomas Eugene “Hoss” Brown, 70, of Jasper, TN, died on Friday, April 12, 2013 surrounded by his family.

He was a member of Baptist Hill Church and a retired employee of Delta Airlines in Atlanta. An avid Tennessee Vols fan, Eugene was a former semi-pro football player for the Atlanta Chargers. He was also member of the Lithonia, GA. Lodge #084 F&AM.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Carol Stocker Brown; his son, Derek Eugene Brown; and his parents, Thomas J. and Glinnie Thomas Brown.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Paulette Cleek Brown; son, Thomas Chadwick “Chad” Brown ; step-children, Lonnie Cleek and Dana (James) Knight; brother, John Wesley (Cathie) Brown; sisters, Annette (Ivan) Lambert, Ollie Mae Campbell, Glenda (Roy) Barton and Clara Sue (Rick) Kilgore; four step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. CDT on Monday, April 15, with Bro. Roger Webb and Bro. Eugene Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. CDT on Sunday April 14.
