Harrison Ruritan Club Fish-Fry, Bluegrass Jamboree Is Saturday

The annual Harrison Ruritan Club's fish fry in conjunction with its monthly bluegrass jamboree will be held on Saturday.   

The fish fry will be from 3-9 p.m and the cost is $7 and includes coffee and tea.

There will be clogging at 4:30 p.m., storytelling at 5:30 p.m. and the bluegrass bands will perform from 6-9 p.m. 

Admission to the entertainment is free the Harrison Ruritan Club is asking for donations. 

The event will be held at the Harrison Ruritan Clubhouse next to Harrison Elementary School. 

The proceeds will benefit community service projects including scholarships, donations to recreation leagues, fire department, Friends of Harrison Bay State Park and more.


The MOMentum Network To Host Girls Night Out

Railroad Repair At Pineville Road Postponed

Norfolk Southern Railway has postponed the repairing of an at-grade track crossing in the 900 block of Pineville Road, between Parmenas Lane and Hudson Road.  This closure was originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, but will be rescheduled for a later time. (click for more)

Pedestrian Struck And Dragged An Estimated 4 Blocks Early Friday Morning Was Levi S. Youster, 22

Early Friday morning the Chattanooga Police Department responded to reports of a pedestrian struck near 400 Cherry Street.   Once on scene, officers found Levi S. Youster, 22,  suffering from serious injuries caused by being dragged by the vehicle an estimated four blocks.   He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to live. Investigators ... Flash Flood Warning Issued For Hamilton County; Cancellations And Road Closings Announced

A flash flood warning has been issued for Hamilton County for Thursday afternoon. It was reported t ramp from I-24 West to Cummings Highway was closed, due to flooding.
