Organ Masterworks Concert Offered At Signal Mountain Presbyterian

An Organ Masterworks Concert featuring Jason DuRoy, organist, will be Friday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, 612 James Blvd., Signal Mountain.  

The concert is free of charge and childcare will be provided.

Hear classics such as Bach's Toccata in F Major, Excerpts from Widor Symphonies 5 & 9, Max Reger's Fantasy on The Chorale "Wachet Auf" and lighter fare including Bach's "Jig" Fugue, and Lamare's Irish Air on "County Derry" (Danny Boy).


Ministry Play Christmas Day At St. Elmo Missionary Baptist

The Sunday School classes at St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church, 3701 W Ave., will present "Good Tidings of Great Joy" on Sunday, Dec. 25 at 9:30 a.m.  The play is under the direction of Beverly Casey.   "The community is welcome to come and celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ on that great Christmas morning," officials said. Valerie Bray Pleads Guilty In Death Of Well-Known Runner Cameron Bean

A long-time Moccasin Bend Hospital employee pleaded guilty on Tuesday morning in connection with the death of well-known runner Cameron Bean. Ms. Bray pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and leaving the scene of an accident with a fatality involved. Officer Who Was Shot Returned Fire; Is Recovering Well; Shooter Still On Loose

Chattanooga Police Chief Fred Fletcher said Monday morning that the officer who was shot three times on Thursday is recovering well.   Chief Fletcher said the officer was wearing a bullet-proof vest and one bullet hit the vest, which protected him during the shooting.  The officer was able to return fire, although Chief Fletcher would not comment on how many bullets ...
