Police Believe Shooting Of 58-Year-Old Man Friday Night Was Targeted

  • Saturday, April 20, 2013
A 58-year-old man was shot Friday night and detectives believe he was targeted by the suspect, and it was not a random shooting.

Chattanooga Police responded at approximately 11:30 p.m. to a shooting at 1416 Cypress Street Court where they found Ronnie Anderson, 58, suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening injury.

It was reported to detectives that Anderson had just left that residence when he was confronted by the suspect and was shot. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
