Sybil F. Cleveland, 89, of Trion, Ga., died on Saturday April 20, 2013 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Cleveland was born Aug. 13, 1923, in Chattooga County, Ga., the daughter of the late Marshal and Kate Cox Freeman. She was retired having worked for Fred & Ross Thomas Realty and Broome & Son Ice Company & Gyro Car Wash. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Jack Cleveland, and a daughter, Gail Beck Wilbanks.

Survivors include her grandsons, Jason Beck, Adam Beck, and son-in-law, Sherman Wilbanks.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Wilborn officiating, with interment in the Greenhills Memory Garden. Active pallbearers will be B.J. Gamble, Seth Turner, Clint Dillard, Jim Wisherd, Eddie Massey, Clay Sizemore. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and employees of The Suites at OakView.

Mrs. Cleveland will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Mai Bell Conley Hurley, 87, of Chattanooga, passed away in the early morning hours on Friday, September 4, 2015. Mrs. Hurley was the widow of Provident executive Bernard T. Grill Fire Causes Damage To Signal Mountain Home

A grill fire caused damage to a Signal Mountain home on Friday evening. At  7:23 pm , a 911 call was made reporting a house fire at 306 Dawn Street on Signal Mountain.
