Troy Peco Named 1 Of 9 Finalists For 2013 TCSG Instructor Of The Year

Georgia Northwestern Technical College's (GNTC) Troy Peco has been named one of nine finalists in the 2013 Rick Perkins Instructor of the Year Competition for the State of Georgia. Mr. Peco is the Automotive Technology director and instructor at GNTC's Walker County Campus. 

The finalists were named Wednesday night at a banquet at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta. The 2013 winner of the Rick Perkins Instructor of the Year Competition will be named on Thursday night.

Fire On Crutchfield Street Ruled Arson

Chattanooga fire investigators have determined that last Thursday’s fire at 1207 Crutchfield St.  that nearly killed four people was deliberately set. Lt. Henry McElvain with the Fire Investigation Division said he cannot divulge the reason why he thinks it’s arson, but he is asking for help from the public. Shiquita Tarpkin, 29, and Dominique Bonds, 25, were shot on Windsor Street on Wednesday night.
