8th Annual Uganda Children’s Project Golf Tournament Set For June 8

The Eighth Annual Uganda Children’s Project Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, June 8 at Brown Acres Golf Club. The shot-gun start will begin at 8 a.m. The cost of the tournament is $100 per golfer which includes green fees, breakfast, lunch, a shirt and much more.

All proceeds will go to the Uganda Children’s Project Inc., a charity begun in 2000 which pays school fees for orphaned and desperately poor children in Uganda. Last year, a young man graduated from Makerere University in Kampala with a BA in Business after money from golf tournaments paid for all his tuition and fees.

County Taking First Step Toward Replacing County Jail Downtown With Workhouse Addition At Silverdale
