Volunteer Firefighter Graduation Is Tuesday

Chamberlain Baptist Church (South Access Road) and Hamilton County Emergency Services Training Division will hold Graduating Ceremonies on Tuesday at 7 p.m., for those firefighters who have completed 320 hours of Firefighter I and Firefighter II courses.  

Eighteen fire cadets from Firefighter I class and nine from Firefighter II class will graduate representing several agencies including Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department, Dayton VFD, Dallas Bay VFD, East Ridge Fire Department, Highway 58 VFD, Sale Creek VFD, Soddy Daisy Fire Department, South Pittsburg VFD, Tri-Community VFD, and Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services. 

Mr. and Mrs.  Jim Daughettee will present the Shane Daughettee Award to one of the firefighter graduate which is selected by their classmates. Since Firefighter Shane Daughettee’s death, this award is given to a fire graduate who demonstrates great leadership, attitude and dedication.


Kappa Kappa Iota Installs 2017-2018 Officers

Kappa Kappa Iota, a professional organization of educators, installed new officers for Psi State of Tennessee for the year 2017-2018. The installation was on Saturday at Red Bank Church of Christ. Severe Storms Rake Chattanooga Area; Flash Flooding Possible

Severe storms raked through the Chattanooga area on Saturday. Sale Creek was one of the hardest hit areas. Body Believed To Be A Woman Is Found On Lookout Mountain

Hunters found a decomposed human body on Saturday afternoon in a remote area off High Road, Cloudland, Walker County. Law enforcement believes the unidentified remains to be a female.
