Tennessee Wesleyan Celebrates Arbor Day With Tree Planting Ceremonies

Tennessee Wesleyan College celebrated Arbor Day with two on-campus tree planting ceremonies. One tree planting event was organized by TWC Junior Kimberly Key for her for final servant leadership project. The second tree planting ceremony was in honor of Ronnie Phelps, a former TWC baseball player who passed away this past December.

Woman Says Son's Girlfriend Said They Had "No Regrets" For Trying To Kill Her In Fire

An Ooltewah woman testified Tuesday that her son's girlfriend told her they had no regrets for trying to kill her by setting her house on fire. Paula K. Charles Holsey, 19, Shot On Sylvan Drive During Drug Deal And Later Dies; Involved In Crash On North Market Street

Charles Holsey, 19, was shot and killed Monday night. The preliminary police investigation indicates that during a drug transaction at 310 Sylvan St., a fight broke out and Holsey was shot once.  Holsey then left in his vehicle later wrecking in the 700 block of North Market Street.  One other person involved in the crash was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. ...
