Hamilton County Democratic Party Biennial Leadership Convention Is Saturday

The Hamilton County Democratic Party will hold its Biennial Leadership Convention to elect new leaders this Saturday. Registration for qualified Democratic Party members will take place from 9-11 a.m., with the meeting commencing thereafter. The meeting will take place at the IBEW Local 175 headquarters, 3922 Volunteer Drive, Chattanooga 37406.


All registered Hamilton County Democrats are welcome and encouraged to attend.


Attendees will be asked to fill out the pledge form supplied by the state. The voter registration list from the Election Commission will be used to check voter registration, precinct and district. Precinct officer elections, district officer elections, and party officer elections will be held in that order. All registered Democrats are eligible to run for these offices.

Event To Support Troops Is Thursday

Friends of East Brainerd and the D.A.R. will be hosting an event to support troops on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Heritage House Arts and Civic Center, 1428 Jenkins Road.  This is a free event with special guest Lt. Day On Capitol Hill With Rep. Favors Is March 14

The Annual Day on Capitol Hill in Nashville with Rep. Inmate Dies At County Workhouse On Wednesday Night; Investigation Underway

An inmate died at the county workhouse at Silverdale on Wednesday night, and an investigation is underway.   Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies/CID were called to investigate the death of an inmate at CoreCivic (formerly CCA).  The inmate was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased at that time.     The identity of the ...
