MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The state sotball tournament brackets have been released by the TSSAA.

In the Class A tournament, Whitwell (22-15) will play Forest (21-7), Tuesday at 5 p.m. Eastern at the Starplex complex.

In Class AA, Meigs County (23-11) is matched with Unicoi County (26-5) at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Starplex, whiile East Hamilton faces Chester County at the same time at a different (McKnight) complex.

In Class AAA, the winner of today's Smyrna vs. Soddy-Daisy sectional is ticketed to play Maryville (34-12) Tuesday at 5 at Starplex.

The Division II semifinals will have a heavy Chattanooga lean to them as GPS faces the #1 team out of the East/Middle, Pope John Paul, Tuesday at 5 while Baylor gets to test its mettle against the No. 1 West team, St. Benedict, Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Body Found On South Highland Park Avenue

The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating the death of a white woman, found at 2106 S.   Highland Park Ave.  The person’s identity and cause of death are unknown at this time.
