Final Round Of Signal Mountain Golf Canceled

Davin White emerged as champion on Sunday as the final round of the Signal Mountain Invitational was washed out.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms forced tournament officials to cut the tournament to a 36-hold event, leaving White as champion. White shot a 7-under 64 on Saturday, including a hole-in-one on No. 14, to finish the tournament at 5-under 142.

Riley Davenport finished as runner-up, one shot behind White.

Cody Godfrey and Matt Robertson finished two shots back.

Man Barges Into Woman's Home In MLK Neighborhood; Tries To Rape Her

Chattanooga Police said a man barged into a woman's home in the MLK Neighborhood around noon on Tuesday and tried to rape the woman.   Police said, "The victim was followed by the suspect into her residence where the victim was then attacked. Moccasin Bend Resident Asks City To Move Police Firing Range So He Can Open Bed And Breakfast Inn

A Moccasin Bend resident is asking the city to move a police firing range from off the historic Bend so he can open a bed and breakfast inn.
