Brenda Freeman Short
Brenda Freeman Short was elected East Tennessee vice president of the Tennessee Federation of Democratic women at the organization’s May convention held in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Ms. Short serves on the board of the Hamilton County Democratic Party and is active in community and political affairs. She was appointed by Rep. JoAnne Favors as deputy coordinator for Tennessee Voters Assistance Coalition. She was elected as a charter commissioner of East Ridge and was a candidate for U.S. Congress for Tennessee’s Third District in 2010. She presently serves as president of the JFK Club.
Ms. Short is a member of Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute where she serves on the Woman Impacting Policy Committee. She is a member of Lawyers Association for Women and the Tennessee Bar Association.
Ms. Short received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Nashville School of Law and her Bachelor of Science from UTC.
