Baylor's Popp Wins First Spring Fling State Title

 Baylor sophomore Selena Popp won the Division II girls pentathlon Monday afternoon in Murfreesboro.  It is the first state championship of the 2013 Spring Fling. 

Popp won the 100 meter hurdles and the high jump.  She edged out Evangelical Christian School's Kate Jamison by one point.  

Teammate Victoria Wicks was third and Kate Kaufman was fifth.

Flenniken Wins Ira Templeton Chattanooga Classic

The heat didn’t faze Casey Flenniken who won the 2016 Ira Templeton Chattanooga Classic by 1 stroke over Marshall Talkington and 2015 Champion Nick Garretson. County Commission Gives Up Fight On $900,000 In Discretionary Funds

County Commission members have given up the fight for the annual $900,000 in discretionary funds.
