Holiday Schedule Announced For Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority

Four Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority facilities will be closed on Monday, in observance of Memorial Day.  Locations include the Old Dixie Landfill and Convenience Center, McGaughey Chapel Convenience Center, Westside Convenience Center, and the M.L. King Convenience Center. 

All locations will reopen on Tuesday, from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. For more information visit www.DWSWA.org or call 706 277-2545.

Saturday - All Locations Open - Normal Hours (7 a.m.–3 p.m.)

Monday – All Locations Closed

Tuesday – All Locations Open (7 a.m.–6 p.m.) (Westside Normally Closed)

Wednesday, May 29 – Resume Normal Operating Days and Hours (McGaughey Chapel Closed)


Be A Mentor And Take 12 Info Event Set For April 9

Playcore Begins Construction On New Collegedale Playground

Tennessee Broadband Expansion Bill Sought By EPB Put On Hold For Now

Advocates for broadband expansion in Tennessee, including Chattanooga's EPB, announced Tuesday that efforts to extend community-based fiber optic networks are being placed on hold for now "because there is not enough support among state lawmakers to change a state regulation that prevents the expansion of municipal fiber optic systems."
