Holiday Schedule Announced For Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority

Four Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority facilities will be closed on Monday, in observance of Memorial Day.  Locations include the Old Dixie Landfill and Convenience Center, McGaughey Chapel Convenience Center, Westside Convenience Center, and the M.L. King Convenience Center. 

All locations will reopen on Tuesday, from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. For more information visit www.DWSWA.org or call 706 277-2545.

Saturday - All Locations Open - Normal Hours (7 a.m.–3 p.m.)

Monday – All Locations Closed

Tuesday – All Locations Open (7 a.m.–6 p.m.) (Westside Normally Closed)

Wednesday, May 29 – Resume Normal Operating Days and Hours (McGaughey Chapel Closed)

Erlanger Health System reported substantial growth in revenue and effective cost management for the third quarter. Trenton, Ga., Woman Gets Workhouse Time, Lengthy Supervised Probation In Hit-And-Run Death Of Man On Moped

A Trenton, Ga. woman was given a four-year sentence following a lengthy hearing in the December 2012 hit-and-run death of a man in St. Elmo.
