FSG Bank's Teresa Whitton Earns CFP Designation

FSGbank announced that Teresa Whitton, vice president and trust officer, has earned her CFP designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.  The CFP designation is the highest professional designation in the financial planning field.

Teresa has a strong desire to ensure that she provides clients with the best financial and estate planning advice available. Ms. Whitton has worked at FSGBank since April 2012 as a trust officer. She is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and the ABA National Graduate Trust School. Ms. Whitton has over 20 years of experience in wealth management and also holds the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga.


Northwest Georgia’s Unemployment Rate Falls To 7.1 Percent In September

The Georgia Department of Labor announced Thursday that the unemployment rate in the Northwest Georgia region in September was 7.1 percent, down 1.0 percent from 8.1 percent in August.
