This Sunday Is Youth Sunday At First Christian

First Christian Church celebrates Youth Sunday on May 26. Sunday School classes for children and adults meet at 9:45 a.m.; worship service and scripture readings led by the youth begin at 10:45 a.m. Fi Tran will present the message. Assistive listening devices are provided for members and guests with hearing loss while many Sunday services are captioned as well. All are welcome!


Regular outreach activities this week include NA meetings, Mondays and Fridays at 8 p.m. and Tai Chi on Friday at 11 a.m.


It’s not too early to sign up your child for Vacation Bible School from July 22-26; call 267-4506. This year’s theme is “Kingdom Rock!”

Covenant Presbyterian Pastor Returning To California Congregation

Rev. Jesse Pirschel, who was installed as senior pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church in August 2015, announced to the congregation on Sunday that he is returning to his former congregation in California. Red Bank Joining Signal Mountain In Move Toward Possibly Taking Over Schools

Red Bank is joining Signal Mountain in the move to study a possible revolt from the Hamilton County Schools. At a work-study session on Tuesday, the five commissioners agreed to form a five-member feasibility study on the issue at the first of the year. Shannon Whitfield is already at work eliminating the position he won by a landslide in the recent election.
