CARTA Announces Memorial Day Schedule

In observance of Memorial Day, CARTA’s fixed route and Downtown Shuttle buses will operate on Saturday schedules on Monday. The CARTA Care-a-van will also be operating on a holiday schedule.

All CARTA bus services will resume regular weekday schedules on Tuesday.

CARTA’s fixed route buses and Downtown Shuttle buses will be detoured due to the USA Cycling Championship races on Memorial Day.  Please visit the website or call the information line for more details.

The Clean Tennessee Campaign hosted a rally on Friday on the Walnut Street Bridge. The “Let’s Not Make Chattanooga Dirty” again rally called on the community and senators for clean air for the city. Woman Killed, Another Injured, In Drive-by Shooting Early Sunday Morning On Chestnut Street

A woman was killed and another injured in a drive-by shooting on Chestnut Street, early Sunday morning. Woman Killed At Foot Of Lookout Mountain After Truck Loses Brakes

A woman was killed at the foot of Lookout Mountain on Saturday morning after her car was struck by a truck that had lost its brakes coming down the mountain.
